How do I access Interlibrary Loan request forms?

What if I forget my password?
In the event you forget your password, please use the "Forgot your Password?" link on the log-on page, fill in the Username field and click the "Reset Password" button. An email will be sent to you with a link to the Password Reset page where you can enter a new password.
How long will it take to get materials I request?
Loans generally take 1 to 2 weeks. Photocopied articles may take 2 days to 2 weeks.

You can request:
- Books

What if I don't have enough information to fill in the form?
When requesting any item, the more information you can provide the better - but if you lack some of the information for required fields, enter "N/A" (not available) or "?" in order to submit the request.
Are there charges for Interlibrary Loan?
Students will be charged five cents per page for articles received in paper format. To avoid these charges, choose free Electronic Delivery of articles.
What is Electronic Delivery?
We offer the option of having articles delivered to you electronically in PDF format without having to go to the library to pick them up. This is only available for items that are delivered to us electronically from the lending library. For more information, see the Electronic Delivery Information page.
How long can I keep borrowed materials?
Due dates are set by the lending libraries with a 2 to 4 week loan period.
In order to maintain our borrowing privileges with other libraries, timely return of materials is crucial. When working on research projects with numerous materials, it is advisable to use interlibrary loans first. Borrowed material is subject to recall by the lending library at any time. Failure to return borrowed materials may result in a $70 replacement fee.
May I renew borrowed materials?
Renewals may be requested through your online interlibrary loan account by using the "View/Renew Checked Out Items" button then choosing the items you want to renew. A temporary renewal date will be assigned while we request a renewal from the lending library. You will be emailed when we hear back from them.
Renewals, though often granted, are not guaranteed. They are granted at the discretion of the lending institution and are based on the needs of their patrons. If a renewal request is refused and the item is still needed we can request a copy from another library.
Where do I return borrowed materials?
You can return borrowed materials to the Circulation Desk in the Library.
Who do I contact if I have problems with or questions about Interlibrary Loan?
You can contact Dan Mulvey in the Interlibrary Loan Department by calling 781-3018 or by emailing ILLlib@hws.edu
